Charles Vannieuwenhoven


Pastor Charles Vannieuwenhoven was installed as pastor at Northdale Lutheran Church in June of 2006.  Prior to serving at Northdale, Pastor Vann served eight years at St. Paul's Lutheran Church of North Mankato  where he was assigned upon graduation from the Seminary.  He served from 1998 to 2001 as the Youth and Outreach Pastor and then from 2001-2006 as the Senior/Campus Pastor. During his years in North Mankato, pastor also served the The Beacon:  Lutheran Student Center (WELS), WELS Campus Ministry of Mankato at Minnesota State University--Mankato.
Pastor received his high school diploma from Fox Valley Lutheran High School in Appleton, WI in 1990.  He received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Northwestern College in 1994.  He received his Master of Divinty degree from the Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary in 1998. 
During his years of schooling, pastor also enlisted in the Army National Guard in 1990 and served his country until his Honorable Discharge in 1996.  During his years of service, pastor spent time at Ft. Benning in Columbus, GA, Ft. Irwin in Barstow, CA and Ft. McCoy in Tomah, WI.
In 1999, pastor married Amy Werner in Belle Plaine, MN.  Pastor and Amy have been blessed with four children, Tabitha (b. 2001), Elyse(b. 2003), Micah (b. 2006) and Lily (b. 2008).

During the 2013-2014 school year, Pastor Vann also served as the Acting Principal.  

He currently serves as the Circuit Pastor for the Tampa Bay Circuit and is Chairman of the Cypress Conference. Pastor is also involved with the work of our Synod as the Recording Secretary for the Board for Home Missions and Chairman of the Campus Ministry Committee.
